03-APR-2024 - Removal of Download Options from OverDrive's API Fulfillment Screen

Following last year’s sunset of the OverDrive app, we've updated our API fulfillment screen to streamline the formats available and bring users to Libby. Specifically, the EPUB, PDF, and MP3 formats were removed as download options from OverDrive API fulfillment screen.

Now, after borrowing an OverDrive title from your catalog, users have the following options: 

• Read or listen instantly in their web browser.
• Send to Kindle (ebook and U.S. only).
• Use the Libby app to download titles directly to their mobile devices. Users who want to download an ebook to a dedicated ereader can do so through Libby by following these steps.
• Use their library’s OverDrive website to download EPUBs, PDFs, or MP3s. Note: MP3 downloads are only available to users who already have the legacy OverDrive for Mac or Windows software installed on their desktop. New installations of this software are no longer supported.
