OverDrive has recently added Magazines as a new format available to libraries. This content will be available on a participating library's OverDrive site and can also be discovered through the OverDrive APIs.

OverDrive Magazines' availability will behave similarly to "Simultaneous Use" content, while downloading will be similar to eBooks in an OverDrive Read format. Search, metadata and availability requests may be used to return magazine content in a library's collection; however, until we enable the format in our production APIs, which is scheduled for 31-JUL-2018, magazines will not be accessible for checkouts via the APIs, nor will they show as a supported format for a library on the Library Account API. 

Beginning today 22-JUN-2018, OverDrive Magazine content will be available on the OverDrive Developer Integration Library for the purpose of previewing and testing by our API partners. Our integration APIs will fully support OverDrive Magazines and are configured to accept requests for magazines on all endpoints.

The format signature for OverDrive Magazines will be
