NEW Audiobook Option - OverDrive Listen - 19-MAY-2015

OverDrive API Partners,

OverDrive is adding a new, browser-based audiobook format called OverDrive Listen. This new format will be available on 19-MAY-2015, the same day we’re retiring the WMA/WMV formats. The OverDrive Listen format (audiobook-overdrive) will automatically be added to library collections that have MP3 audiobooks, where it will appear as another listening option for users.

The OverDrive Developer Portal will be updated on 19-MAY-2015 to include documentation about the OverDrive Listen format. Because OverDrive Listen has many similarities to OverDrive Read, both in the APIs and its user experience, much of the documentation for OverDrive Read will also apply to OverDrive Listen.

OverDrive Listen is available for testing with the OverDrive Integration APIs via the OverDrive API Integration Library.
